Sri Vraja Nava Yuva Rajastakam

Dieses Gebet liegt zurzeit leider nur auf Englisch vor.

By Srila Rupa Gosvami, Stava-mala

mudira madam udaram mardayann anga kantya
vasana ruci nirastambhoja kinjalka sobhah
tarunima taraniksa viklavad balya candro
vraja nava yuva rajah kanksitam me krisista (1)

May the young prince of Vraja, whose bodily luster defeats the pride of a monsoon
cloud, the luster of whose garment mocks the splendor of the lotusflower filaments, and the
moon of whose childhood becomes afflicted when he sees the sun of His adolescence
rising, fulfill my desire!

pitur anisam aganya prana nirmanthaniyah
kalita tanur ivaddha matri-vatsalya punjah
anuguna guru gosthi dristi piyusa vartir
vraja nava yuva rajah kanksitam me krisista (2)

May the young prince of Vraja, who constantly stirs innumerable life-airs of His
father, who is the embodiment of His mother’s great maternal love, and who is the nectar
for the eyes of His favorable superiors, fulfill my desire.

akhila jagati jaghran mugdha vaidagdhya carya
prathama gurur udagra sthama visrama saudhah
anupama guna raji ranjitasesa bandhur
vraja nava yuva rajah kanksitam me krisista (3)

May the young prince of Vraja, who is the foremost and most splendid teacher of all
charming arts in the whole universe, who is the most elevated resting place of transcendental
bliss and who delights His innumerable friends with all His matchless
attributes, fulfill my desire.

api madana parardhair duskaram vikriyormim
yuvatisu nidadhano bhru dhanur dhunanena
priya sahacara varga prana minambu rasir
vraja nava yuva rajah kanksitam me krisista (4)

May the young prince of Vraja, who, by twanging the bow of His eyebrows, causes
waves of agitation in the minds of the young girls that are hard to generate even by
trillions of Cupids, and who is the ocean in which the fish-like hearts of His dear friends
play, fulfill my desire.

nayana srini vinoda ksobhitananga nagonmathita
gahana radha citta kasara garbhah
pranaya rasa marandasvada lila sadanghrir
vraja nava yuva rajah kanksitam me krisista (5)

May the young prince of Vraja, whose goad-like eyes blissfully strike and agitate
the elephant of passionate desires, thus causing it to wreak havoc in the depth of the lake of Sri
Radha’s heart, and who is the bumblebee who relishes the honey of loving pastimes,
fulfill my desire!

anupadam udayantya radhikasanga siddhya
sthagita prithu rathanga dvandva raganubandhah
madhurima madhu dhara doraninam udanvan
vraja nava yuva rajah kanksitam me krisista (6)

May the young prince of Vraja, whose constant love for Sri Radha defeats even the
constant passionate love of the pairs of Cakravaka birds (since they are separated at
night, while Krishna can meet Radha day and night) and who is the ocean wherein all the
honey-rivers of transcendental sweetness flow, fulfill my desire!

alaghu kutila radha dristi vari niruddha
tri jagad aparatantroddama ceto gajendrah
sukha mukhara visakha narmana smera vaktro
vraja nava yuva rajah kanksitam me krisista (7)

May the young prince of Vraja, whose idomitable lordly elephant-heart, which cannot be checked
by anything within the three worlds, is bound by the strong and crooked ropes of Sri Radha’s glance,
and whose face smiles as He hears the blissful jokes of talkative Visakha, fulfill my desire!

tvayi rahasi milantyam sambhrama nyasa bhugna-
pyusasi sakhi tavali mekhala pasya bhati
iti vivrita rahasyair hrepayann eva radham
vraja nava yuva rajah kanksitam me krisista (8)

May the young prince of Vraja, who embarrasses Radha by revealing Their intimate pastimes,
telling one girlfriend: „ O sakhi! Just see how your friend’s waist-bells shine brilliantly, even though
suddenly meeting you in this secluded place at dawn, She hypocritically
tied them in such haste!“, fulfill my desire!

vraja nava yuva rajasyastakam tusta buddhih
kalita vara vilasam yah prayatnad adhite
parijana gananayam nama tasyanurajyan
vilikhati kila vrindaranya rajni rasajnah (9)

Sri Krishna, who knows the flavours of Sri Vrindavanesvari Radhika’s
prema, will be pleased with anyone who carefully and with a satisfied heart recites these
eight verses, that describe the excellent enjoyments of the young prince of Vraja, and will
count him by name amongst His own intimate associates.
